Yan Yan Chan has broken her silence on rumours she ‘struck up a close friendship’ with Harry Styles earlier this year.

The 29-year-old Hong Kong-born influencer played down romance chatter, telling The Daily Telegraph that she wasn’t aware of the chatter.

‘I mean, I was home for a holiday and I was with my best friends, so I actually just left in time. So I didn’t really see too much of it,’ she said of the reports.

Chan has since been photographed packing on the PDA with her new boyfriend on Bronte Beach.

That same month, it was reported the British singer and social media star Yan had enjoyed a secret getaway while Harry was visiting Australia for his Love On tour.

The influencer made headlines earlier this year after rumours emerged she had a brief romance with English singer Harry, 29, while he toured Australia.

The rumoured romance between the brunette and Harry allegedly began in March after they met on social media and began messaging each other.

A well-placed source told Daily Mail Australia how their relationship started, claiming it was Styles who made the first move by ‘sliding into Yan Yan’s DMs and inviting her to attend a private afterparty’ following his Sydney show on March 4.

Chan was indeed spotted sitting in a gold class corporate box alongside a group of fellow influencers at the concert.

Styles and Chan have been following each other on Instagram since 2020, but have never been pictured together.

Woman’s Day magazine claimed Styles and Chan got to know each other in February while the crooner was touring Down Under.

Harry has previously been linked to a host of stunning women, including Taylor Swift, Camille Rowe and Olivia Wilde.

However he has remained tight-lipped about his love life since splitting with Olivia, 39, in November.

In March, a viral video circulated of Harry making out with model-turned-actress Emily Ratajkowski in Tokyo.
